chapter -1 “Emma it’s time to go to school” Marinette hollered her 14 year old daughter. “5 more minutes” she replied in a drowsy state. “Emma that’s what you said 20 minutes ago! You’re gonna be late!” “I’m coming, I’m coming” Emma rushed her breakfast as she stuffed her mouth with pancakes. She glanced at her wristwatch which was gifted by her father on her birthday. She was racing against the time by waking up so late, as she often tends to do. As Marinette turned around after washing the dishes, she saw the color drain from her daughter’s face. Emma ran like the wind as she stepped outside. Marinette chuckled as she remembers herself in those shoes once upon a time ago. Françoise Dupont High School is a magnificent structure with a maroon colored exterior that is three stories tall with a blue slated cobblestone roof. A huge courtyard overlooks the school with a basketball court and benches throughout to empower learning and extra-curricular activities. The trees located all over the school provide enough shade for students who just want to read a book outside on a lovely day. Emma barely made it in the nick of time as Caline Bustier started her lesson. Caline is extremely compassionate and wise for someone her age. Although she is only 29, she is a great teacher that excels at making her students performs better at her subject. The school ends at noon as the sun’s scorching heat makes walking outside unbearable. Emma and her twin sister, Emily moves at a snail’s pace after a long day of learning. “What do you mean you weren’t late” Emily asked her sister bewildered. “I always wake up early. You are so mom’s daughter” Emma laughed as she reached for the front door. Adrien was searching for a camembert roll for plagg as he overheard the conversation between the twins. “What’s so funny girls?” “Nothing. Just girl stuff ya know” Emma replied. “Oh come on why don’t you tell your dad?” “Nope. No can do” both said in unison. “Marinette, these girls are really selfish”. “NO WE’RE NOT!!” Emma bellowed. “yes, you are!” “No” “Yes” “Mom!” Emily started to tear up. Emily has always been the most emotional among the family. So she is sensitive to any confrontation. No matter how trivial the problem is. Marinette came over and comforted her. Louis entered the loft unannounced. He was about to crack a joke but he sensed the tension in the room and decided against it. Adrien and Marinette went out for a while after dinner. Emma, Emily and Louis were in their rooms. The couple had to stop by at master fu’s house because tikki and plagg asked them to go. As they entered the room wayzz came up to tikki and plagg. “Hello heroes and heroines. Long times no see” Master fu said as he reached for the miraculous box.
